The church (formerly Methodist) has a proud history dating back to 1841, when it began as a Wesleyan Church. In 1901 it changed in name from Wesleyan to Methodist. The present church was officially opened in March 1911, with the Sunday School Hall being built some years later, in 1926.
Music plays an important part, with music provided by organ, guitars, with the occasional addition of a flute, saxophone or violin.
There is a focus on providing the community with a safe-place to meet, the convenient location of the church buildings making our facilities ideal for use by community groups. There is parking available at the rear of the church.
